The SMART ARKANSAS HOGS Chapter is one of the older Chapters in SMART. The Chapter was formed 13 February 1992. We are a fun loving group and try to hold three Musters a year, along with attending the Regionals and National each year. At our Musters we like to have a pot luck dinner, go on tours, or attend festivals. One of our favorite places is Mountain View Arkansas. Mountain View has several festivals during the year. It is also known for its Folk Center and Village. Mountain View is a town known for preserving the ole folk lore. They have picking and singing on the square, most week-ends when weather permits. They also have Country Music Shows. The Hogs like to camp where we can have camp fires, attend dinner theaters, concerts, good food, tour the sites and go out to eat as a group one evening during our musters. We don't charge a muster fee as our host doesn't have to cook meals, they set up a place to hold the muster and schedule tours, games, pot luck dinners, and find and reserve us a place to have our group dinner out. During the cold winter we schedule lunches in various parts of the state to keep our group connected. We try to hold a muster during Veterans Day and attend the Ceremony honoring our veterans. The ARKANSAS SMART HOGS received the Outstanding Chapter Award from SMART HQ.
