At Large Region

The At-Large Region of SMART has no geographical boundaries and covers all of the United States. The chapters within the Region cover a wide array of interests and several members belong to more than one of the Region’s chapters. There are five chapters in the Region - STAR - members have recruited five or more members for SMART; SOLO’S - members are singles who love to travel in their RV’s; DUFFERS - members who love a round(s) of golf; NOMADS - who love to travel, in search of food and just have fun; and TRAVELING SQUARES - whose members are affiliated with the MASONS. Be sure to check the chapter websites for additional information.

Chapter Information

SMART Duffers

logo

SMART Duffers is a group of like-minded individuals, both men and women, who enjoy the comaraderie and challenge of Cow Pasture Pool (Golf). Anyone who likes golf is invited to join our group. You don’t need to be a great golfer to play golf with the Duffers. Our main goal is fellowship and having fun. Each year we sponsor a tournament which is played in conjunction with the annual National SMART Muster. Each of the SMART Regional Chapters are encouraged to sponsor golf outings within their regions throughout the year. So if you like playing golf and having fun without the pressure, join the SMART Duffer’s Chapter

Nomads

logo

Nomad (noun) wanderer in search of food. The Nomads are an At-Large chapter, open to all SMART members. We are a social group of fun (and food) lovers rather than a geographically defined or common interest chapter.

Nomads get together at a "pre-muster" just before the annual National Muster and at a "post-muster" after the National Muster. We are famous for our 4 pm Attitude adjustment during these get-togethers. Between our National-associated get-togethers, we look up other members during our travels. These "mini-musters" range from lunch to spending time together in a campground. Some are more formal gatherings of as many as are in the area!

Nomads keep in touch by a quarterly newsletter, a website, email, and other e means. Our dues are a big $5 per year.

STAR

logo

The STAR Chapter was formed at the 2007 National Muster at Hutchinson, Kansas to recognize and honor those who have been successful in recruiting new members in SMART, to assist others in recruitment and retention of SMART members, and to promote the formation and strengthening of SMART local chapters. The STAR chapter name is a description of it's members: Smart Tops At Recruiting = STAR.

The STAR Chapter welcomes the First Timers at each National Muster by greeting them at registration, and by holding a First Timers welcome and orientation session where a luncheon is provided for all attendees.

The chapter holds its annual meeting and luncheon at a time designated in the National Muster Program.

** SMART members are eligible for STAR Chapter membership ONLY after recruiting a minimum of 5 new members to SMART as reported by SMART HQ. Applicants for membership will be screened to ensure they are eligible.**
