This will only happen if we have someone who will volunteer to run the event. There is a golf course in Carthage.
On Saturday, May 10th we will be going to the local dinner theater, Stone's Throw. The play will be a comedy called "Two Witches, No Waiting". This is a dutch treat event.
Sunday, May 11th is Mother's Day, we are having a potluck, with meat furnished by the Region and we are asking the guys to fix the sides. Come join us for the fun!
Opening Ceremonies will be Monday, May 12th, with the closing ceremonies on Friday, May 16th. In between the schedule is packed with things to keep you busy! There are three seminars planned, featuring our very own Lou Finkle. Games and Tournaments are being organized by Joe Padberg and Paul Thomas.
We have also made time for you to explore Carthage, which is a Route 66 Community. There is a Civil War Museum and battlefield, Precious Moments Chapel & Museum, Red Oak II (a 1950's recreated town), Jasper County Court House, Historic Phelps House, Marlin Perkins Memorial, Koka Art Gallery, & Coachlight RV Dealership.
As with any SMART event, there will be plenty of opportunities to please the pallet, we have potlucks, catered dinners, two breakfasts, Men's and Ladies Lunches, and of course, an opportunity to sample the local fare. Please Sign In to use the online registration form.
