Introduction

The STAR Chapter was formed at the 2007 National Muster at Hutchinson, Kansas to recognize and honor those who have been successful in recruiting new members in SMART, to assist others in recruitment and retention of SMART members, and to promote the formation and strengthening of SMART local chapters. The STAR chapter name is a description of it's members: Smart Tops At Recruiting = STAR.

The STAR Chapter welcomes the First Timers at each National Muster by greeting them at registration, and by holding a First Timers welcome and orientation session where a luncheon is provided for all attendees.

The chapter holds its annual meeting and luncheon at a time designated in the National Muster Program.

** SMART members are eligible for STAR Chapter membership ONLY after recruiting a minimum of 5 new members to SMART as reported by SMART HQ. Applicants for membership will be screened to ensure they are eligible.**
